Every year on March 8th the world comes together to celebrate International Women’s Day dedicated to honouring the achievements, resilience and contributions of women across the globe.
Purpose:
Celebrate women’s social, economic, cultural and political achievements.
Raise awareness about gender equality
Advocate for women’s rights and empowerment
Promote equal opportunities in education, work and leadership
Celebrating strength, progress and possibilities, a platform form to raise awareness about women’s rights.
Beyond celebration this day is also a reminder of the ongoing journey towards equality, inclusion and well-being including mental health, addressing the challenges women continue to face.
While women have made significant strides and tremendous progress has been made, challenges remain facing barriers in education, employment and healthcare.
Balancing careers, family responsibilities, societal expectations and personal ambitions can take a toll on emotional and mental well-being.
Creating supportive spaces – encouraging open conversations about emotional struggles
Creating supportive workplace policies
Recognising unpaid care work and emotional labour
Teaching young girls self-worth and resilience
When women are mentally healthy, families, workplaces and communities thrive.
As we celebrate March 8th let us honour the achievements of women past and present while working towards a future where every girl and woman will have the opportunity to thrive.

At the Royal Albert Hall Suffragettes once gathered with courage and conviction to demand a voice in shaping their future. This International Women’s Day, we honour their determination and remember that the rights and opportunities women hold today were won through their persistence, bravery and belief in equality.
