Resilience is the crucial capacity to adapt well to adversity, trauma, and significant sources of stress, which are inevitable parts of life. It helps us come back from difficult experiences, adjust to new and uncertain circumstances, rather than feeling overwhelmed.
This flexibility is key to:

Improving problem solving rather than dwelling on the problem
Strengthening relationships-resilience is nurtured by strong social connections which is a key protective factor during tough times
So how do we build resilience?
Nurture connections – prioritise relationships with empathetic friends and family, accept support when offered, consider joining a support group or community organisation
Practice self-care tends to your physical and emotional needs through regular exercise, adequate sleep, healthy eating enjoyable hobbies
Maintain a hopeful outlook – challenge negative thinking patterns try to view challenges as opportunities for growth. Focus on what you can learn from past experiences and maintain a positive, but realistic outlook towards the future.
Be proactive – acknowledge problems and take decisive action by breaking down overwhelming challenges into smaller more manageable steps to build a sense of control and progress
